Why we started.
We started Geelong Concrete for one reason. We kept getting called out to fix other people's work.
Driveways split down the middle two summers in. Water running back at the house. People who'd saved for years, spent the money once, and had to spend it again. Almost none of it was bad luck. It was a base that wasn't compacted, a slab poured too thin, joints cut a day too late.
None of that is hard to get right. It just takes a crew that turns up and does the boring parts properly when nobody's watching.
So that's the whole business. One crew, one price, and concrete you won't have to think about again.

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Geelong?
It comes down to size, access, how much digging is needed and the finish you pick. Plain broom is cheapest, exposed aggregate sits above it, coloured and honed above that. We measure up on site and give you one fixed number in writing, so you can compare it properly against anyone else's.
How long will it take?
Most home driveways are a few days on site across prep, pour and finish. You get the dates up front and a call the day before we arrive. If weather moves the pour you hear it from us rather than by waiting around.
Will it crack?
All concrete moves. The job is deciding where. Right thickness, right steel and joints cut at the right time mean it moves along a joint you can barely see, instead of across the middle of your driveway. That's what you're paying us for.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. Ask and we'll send the certificate through before you commit to anything.
Do I need council approval for a crossover?
For a new or widened crossover onto the road, usually yes. We build them to council spec and we'll tell you what your street needs before you apply, so it passes first time.
Can you work around my builder?
We do it constantly. Send us the program and we'll fit the footings, slab or driveway into it. One less trade for you to chase.
How long before we can park on it?
Walk on it after about a day. Keep cars off for a week and anything heavy off for a month. It looks finished well before it has reached full strength, so we'll tell you exactly when you're right to go.
What happens if it rains?
We move the pour. Nobody wins from concrete going down in the wet. You get a phone call rather than a surprise, and we rebook you as the next job instead of the last one.
