The cheapest place to save money, and the most expensive place to get it wrong.
Nobody ever compliments your footings. But almost every concrete problem people ring us about started down here.
Ground that wasn't compacted. Footings that didn't get deep enough into stable soil. A slab poured over fill that settled the following winter and took the whole thing with it.
We do the dig and the pour with the same crew, so there's no gap between two contractors where levels quietly go wrong and nobody owns it.
What you get
Included as standard.
- Site excavation, cut and fill, and levels set out
- Strip footings, pad footings and bored piers
- Shed slabs, house slabs and extension slabs
- Compaction done properly, and tested where it's called for
- Steel fixed to the engineer's drawings, not to whatever's on the truck
- We work to your engineer's plans, or tell you when you need one
If you've got engineering drawings, send them through and we'll price off them. If you haven't, we'll tell you whether your job actually needs them before you spend money finding out.

Do I need an engineer?
For a standard shed slab or a path, usually not. For a house slab, an extension tying into an existing building, or anything on a slope or reactive clay, yes. We'll tell you which one you're in at the quote, and that costs you nothing.
What if you hit rock?
We stop and talk to you before spending your money. Rock and unexpected services are the two things nobody can see from the surface, so they're called out separately in your quote rather than buried in it.
Can you do the whole job, dig through to driveway?
That's how we prefer to work. One crew, one price, and one person accountable if a level is out.
