Home/Kerbing and footpaths

Kerbing and footpaths

Built to council spec, so it passes inspection the first time.

  • Fixed written quotes
  • Fully insured
  • Local Geelong crew

08 / Kerbing and footpaths

Get the spec wrong and you're taking it out again at your own cost.

Crossovers and footpaths come with rules. Width, fall, depth, reinforcement, and how it ties into the existing kerb.

Get any of it wrong and council makes you take it out and do it again at your cost. That's the expensive way to learn the spec.

We build to the standard your council asks for and we handle the inspection, so it's one less thing on your list.

What you get

Included as standard.

  • Vehicle crossovers and laybacks to council requirements
  • Footpaths, garden edging and kerbing, residential and commercial
  • Correct width, fall and depth for your street
  • Tie ins to existing kerb and channel done neatly
  • We tell you what your council needs before you apply
  • Site left clean and the path safe to walk on

The permit is usually the homeowner's application, but we'll tell you exactly what to put on it and what the spec requires. Most of the rejections we see were avoidable.

Questions

Straight answers.

If yours isn't here, ring and ask. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out later.

Do I need council approval for a crossover?

For a new or widened crossover onto the road, generally yes. We'll tell you what your street requires before you apply so it goes through first time.

How long does a crossover take?

The concrete work is usually a day or two. The permit is the slow part, so start that early and the build will be waiting on you rather than the other way around.

Can you do it while my house is being built?

Yes, and usually it's better last so it doesn't get chewed up by trucks. Send us your builder's program and we'll slot in.
